Osian Tour
Osian is a desert town located at around sixty-five kilometers drive from Jodhpur. It is the headquarters for Osian tehsil and Bikaner, Jaipur and Jodhpur are the nearest cities from this ancient town.
It is renowned for its rugged landscapes and glittering sand dunes that are a visual treat for the eyes. The vast layers of sand, desert plants, and gushing wind make it one of the most breathtaking destinations for the visitors. Located at the edge of the Thar desert, you can experience the remote desert life over here.
Osian City is also known as the Khajuraho of Rajasthan owing to the presence of tons of breathtaking temples that are renowned for their architectural magnificence and stunning design. Sachiya Mata Temple and Mahavira Temples are the most popular temples in Osian City, where you can seek spiritual enlightenment and bathe in the sense of divinity. You can also visit Harihara Temples that are dedicated to Lord Harihara and are resplendent with sculptures.
SACHIYA MATA TEMPLE
Situated on a hill lock, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Sachiya Matha (wife of Lord Indra). Both Hindus and Jains worship this goddess,Osiyan Mata is also known as Sachiya Matha. It is believed this temple was constructed during the 9th and 10th century. As we ascent the stairs we can see arches on which beautiful carvings welcome you. The main chamber enshrines Sachiya Mata. To the north of the temple complex is Varaha (Lord Vishnu), to the East of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi.
SURYA TEMPLE
The Surya temple, located in Osian, Jodhpur District of Rajasthan, India is dedicated to the Sun God, Surya as the name suggests. A large idol of God Surya is placed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple It has the idols of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Durga are also kept in the temple along with it. The images of serpents around lotuses are there on the ceiling of the temple. There is an open mandap around the temple which is mainly used for weddings and other ritual ceremonies that are held in the temple.
KALI TEMPLE
The Kali Temple is an ancient temple of the town, with its history dating back to 8th century AD. The temple is dedicated to Devi Kali who symbolizes empowerment and is a form of Goddess Durga. The temple is certainly no competition to the other magnificently constructed structures but the location of this temple make it worth a visit. Devi Kali is venerated by Hindus as the epitome of Shakti, the primordial feminine origin of life.

THE MAHAVIR TEMPLE
In the center of the temple lies the gigantic 32 inch sandstone statue of Lord Mahavira in the padmasana posture. The Main sanctum Sanctorum and the temple is surrounded by around 8-9 smaller shrines in the inner courtyard. Each of the these shrines have beautifully crafted statues all over the walls.
HARIHARA TEMPLES
Harihara Temples, are a conglomeration of three temples dedicated to Lord Harihara. The type of workmanship and architecture reflecting here are a class apart from the other temples of Osian. The assembly of the central idol of the Harihara Temple flanked by four other shrines, is called Panchvatan.
JEEP SAFARI
Head out in a four-wheeler jeep through the majestic Thar desert located near the desert town of Osian for a fun ride. While riding along the sand dunes in an open jeep, you can relish the splendid sight of the Thar Desert, and you can also interact with the local tribes living there.
